I was walking past someone the other day when I was out and thought "What would I do if they just grabbed my wrist or elbow from behind?" I know we covered this in class, but I forgot what exactly we did to get out of this type of grab. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommedations on someone grabbing your arm from behind your back? Thanks.

If you are a total newbie to Chin-na I would say to start off with quick releases like the ones you find in WIlly Lin's book.  The quick releases are easy to learn and will at least get you out of the grab until you start learning some joint locks.

Patty remember, if they're close enough to grab you they're close enough for you to hit them. I mean a straight finger shot to the eyes all the strike in kicks do a pretty good job that your training do the work . don't let your head, get in no way

so all of the wild releases and locks come down a lot of training wait to use them later.
