Modified vs traditional wing chun kung fu

I know Keith Mazza teaches traditional wing chun on the site and would love to get his opinion or any of his students. Is there a fundamental difference between modified wing chun and traditional besides some foot work and guards?  Do both have the same origins?

Hello, I personally prefer to stay away from the term "modified". People who study "mainstream" can find that term offensive. To answer you question TWC is distinct from other WC lineages.

can you elaborate on what makes traditional wing chun distinct from the other lineages?  Is it better system or foot work? Are the other wing chun lineages not complete systems?

The footwork in TWC is distinct from other WC. There are many different WC lineages. There is a book entitled "The Complete Wing Chun that shows many of the lineages.
