Allen Hopkins began his martial arts career at the early age of 12. He earned Black belts in Kempo, Taikarate, and three styles of Japanese JuJitsu, all before discovering his true passion, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. He began training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 1991, and soon he became the first Affiliate of Prof. Pedro Sauer, 6th degree Black belt under Rickson Gracie. Determined to intensify his training, Allen moved to the Pedro Sauer Headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT where he stayed and trained as the manager and Assistant Instructor for more than 12 years. Then, in 2004, Allen moved to Mississippi where he is the only certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black belt in the state. He also has three affiliate locations, West Monroe, LA, Mobile, AL, and Pensacola, FL. He is also a certified Tactical Arrest and Control (TAC) instructor teaching many military and law enforcement officers.
